If you’re looking for a simple solution to hold meetings with colleagues, then Google Hangouts Meet is an excellent choice for a web conferencing software. It’s easy to use, has a clean interface, and offers a lot of functionality. However, if you need more advanced features, then Microsoft Teams is a better option. It’s feature rich, has a slick design, and includes some very powerful collaboration tools.
4. The best web conferencing software for education
Skype has declined a little in recent years, but it remains among the most popular options for communication. There are currently over 300 million people using Skype every month. There you have it, Skype for business. It’s not the same as Skype as we know it, but it gives a hint as to what Microsoft plans for the future of Skype.
Skype users can call each other for free and unlimited. For best results, use the Skype app for PCs or mobile devices. However, other users do not have to sign up or install anything in order to join.

Skype lacks the sophistication to compete with its top competitors size-wise and when it comes to integration. Microsoft and its office suite are the only products it integrates with.
The software is intuitive for someone who knows how to use other video conferencing applications. Other than that, I say it takes time to learn how to use all of Skype’s features.
What I Like/Dislike
What I Like
I have been using Skype for a long time, and many things haven’t changed. Recent years have seen many new tools replacing this one, but its simplicity still appeals to me. The process of sending any message or phone call isn’t complicated. With Pay As You Go, you can even call other people’s mobile phones using the mobile app.
What I Dislike
Skype’s resource consumption, compared to other video conferencing tools, limits its use for primary video conferences. Another problem is that there is only one chat window for Skype groups and meetings.
Skype’s recent update prevents outside participants from attending your group meetings.
With Apple, the iPhone, and iPod touch you can make phone and video calls for free with Skype.
5. The best web conferencing software for low bandwidths
Microsoft provides a wide range of solutions and has done so for decades. Now they’re back with a web-based video conferencing tool that allows individuals and organizations to connect virtually. The business collaboration tool is one of the top ones you can find right now for all office needs.

A Microsoft Teams online meeting or a video conference meeting is possible for 300 participants or more.
Your own custom background
This one was the most needed feature since it was so hard for people to conduct meetings from home. Having a video conversation requires you to find a suitable location. Not anymore.
Microsoft Teams lets you blur a background or replace it with one that looks more professional prior to getting started.
Discussed something important that needs to be recorded. Well, it’s now easy. Cloud-based meeting recording and storage are available. Revisit the meeting by reviewing the recordings if needed.
Raise Your Hand
Raise your hand feature is designed to minimize disruptive behaviors at meetings. Participants will have the opportunity to raise their virtual hands up if they wish to make a comment or add something to the discussion.
The whiteboard in Microsoft Teams performed best when we tested it for this article. The program allows you to draw freehand, transforming imperfect circles into perfect ones.
The best thing about Microsoft Teams is that it has a very simple interface and it’s easy to integrate it with your existing tools. I enjoy the ease of navigation and ease of administration with Microsoft Teams.

What I Like/Dislike
What I Like
High quality video and audio call with background blur or replace during meetings is an excellent addition. The fact that it is available on desktop, mobile, web, and even Linux makes it a good choice.
What I Dislike
The inability to open multiple windows annoys me. There is only one window for every activity, making it difficult to navigate during crowded meetings.
The new version of Windows (Windows 11) includes Teams by default. Teams appear in the toolbar as a default in Windows 11. Additionally, it is possible to send messages anywhere and to anyone, depending on whether they have an email address or a phone number.
Overall, a great web conferencing software you can use every day whether you are working with colleagues or clients, providing complete functionality while being very easy to use at the same time.
